Modus Construction, London
Barclays Capital commissioned two green walls to flank either side of the marble stairs in their headquarters’ entrance lobby.
These green walls are built as freestanding tower structures, complete with tank-based recirculating irrigation systems; they are fully alarmed and remotely monitored for performance. These walls are not publicly viewable.
“ Given the location and access restrictions we had to know that these two 6 metre high towers could be installed over one weekend, so we first built them as a full scale mock up in our nursery workshop in Sussex. We learnt a lot from this and it was the key to a smooth installation. ”
