Following last year’s success, we have won two more BALI National Landscape Awards, this time in the ‘Exterior Living Wall Installation’ category.

Organised by the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI), these awards celebrate the very best landscaping projects across the UK.

Both of this year’s winning schemes demonstrate the value of living walls in delivering environmental benefits alongside striking design.

At 101 Moorgate, a new office and retail development in the heart of the City of London, Biotecture worked with repeat client, Mace, to deliver multiple living walls.

The living walls span multiple levels, providing a striking green backdrop for roof terraces while also enhancing views from street level. Created using our BioPanel hydroponic living wall system, the design supports biodiversity and contributes to occupant wellbeing.

At CR1, a new 52,605 sq ft logistics warehouse in Croydon, Biotecture collaborated with Faircloth Construction and UMC Architects to deliver an 88m² living wall along the car park elevation.

The design softens the warehouse façade, creates a greener arrival experience and contributes to the scheme’s Biodiversity Net Gain objectives. Shade-tolerant planting was selected for the north-facing wall, with curved vertical stripes introduced to add visual variety.

The wall looks great – it really came together and stands out really well, it has been a pleasure working with the Biotecture team
