Living wall maintenance
Keeping living walls thriving
Living walls, just like any other landscaping feature, need regular maintenance to keep them looking their best. Biotecture have a dedicated team looking after over 150 living walls across the UK.
We offer tailored maintenance programmes to suit the needs of each living wall including remote irrigation monitoring, visual inspections and regular horticultural visits.

Working with Biotecture I know the asset is in good hands, I’ve always found them professional, approachable and flexible. Routine maintenance is carried out as planned and the hydroponic system continuously monitored hence the vegetation is always in great condition.
Performance guarantee
For BioPanel living walls, we offer a 95% live plant coverage guarantee, backed by a proactive maintenance approach.
Our contracts are performance-based, and we’ll carry out as many visits as needed to meet our KPIs — ensuring the irrigation system functions properly, flow rates stay within tolerance and the wall always looks its best.
Inspection and horticultural visits
Regular visual inspections are carried out by our maintenance team to check the health of the planting and condition of the irrigation system.
Full maintenance visits include plant pruning and replacement, irrigation servicing and nutrient top-ups.
Our operatives are fully trained and equipped to access and care for your living wall safely and professionally.
Remote irrigation control and monitoring
Our operations support team remotely monitor all connected irrigation systems five days a week.
We adjust irrigation settings throughout the year in response to seasonal changes, and are alerted to any faults in real time, often resolving issues before they affect plant health.
This data-driven approach helps us keep walls thriving while using water responsibly.

Maintenance works are undertaken out of hours and Biotecture adopt a professional attitude at all times to ensure noise and disruption are kept to a minimum. The living wall continues to be a real visual asset to Covent Garden.
