Testing and compliance
Our BioPanel system has been independently tested across a range of key areas, including impact resistance, structural integrity, fire safety and acoustic performance. These certifications demonstrate that our systems meet the demands of modern buildings and can be confidently specified for a wide range of projects.
Certified rainscreen cladding system
The BioPanel system is the only evergreen living wall system to have passed the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT) façade testing criteria.
This process tests how rainscreen cladding panels perform in extreme weather conditions, testing includes air infiltration, water penetration, wind loads and impact testing.
Independent structural assessment
To provide independent assurance we commissioned a comprehensive analysis and report on the structural performance of the BioPanel living wall system. We always design and install our living cladding system in accordance with the recommendations of the Evolve Structural Assessment.
Reaction to fire
The Reaction to Fire Performance of our living wall system is confirmed by a world renowned independent consultancy to be B-s3, d2. As a matter of right this classification acknowledges compliance with the simpler BS 476 classification for spread of flame for which the system is confirmed to achieve class 0.
Acoustics
The Biotecture Living Wall System combines the natural benefits of plants with the inherent sound absorbing qualities of the hydroponic Grodan growing medium. As a complete system it has been fully tested and is certified as a class ‘C’ acoustic material. It can therefore be included as part of the acoustic strategy of a space. The system can therefore perform the roles of both form and function. The test results can be made available on request.
