Project Details

  • Incorporates water feature

Biotecture installed this living wall within a private courtyard garden in Chelsea. The garden was designed by landscape architect Stefano Marinaz. It was designed to echo an ancient Arabic garden with the sound of running water and plants climbing across the walls. The living wall occupies one side of the courtyard, continuing the pattern of evergreen plants within the rest of the garden with a mix of ferns and ivy. Periwinkles and crocuses also bloom in summer with white flowers. A water feature has been incorporated into the wall, with a rill flowing down into intersecting channels within the paving.
