Consultancy and feasibility
At the start of a project we consider all the factors that influence long-term success – including location, orientation, light levels, access for maintenance, irrigation options and structural requirements.
This ensures we recommend the right approach from the outset and provide clear guidance on what’s achievable.
Design and project management
On larger projects our team will work with the overall design team including architects, structural and M&E engineers to ensure the living wall is properly integrated into the building fabric.
On smaller projects we can manage the whole process from start to finish.
Plant design
The planting design reflects the wall’s location. For example, a north-facing living wall thrives with shade-tolerant plants, while a sunlit south-facing wall can support a diverse range of seasonal species.
By tailoring our designs to each unique location, we ensure our living walls stay healthy, beautiful, and vibrant throughout the year.
We use a tried and tested plant palette or hardy evergreens and to create biodiverse living walls that stay green all year round.
We include native and flowering species to attract pollinators in the warmer months.
We can do the planting design in-house or collaborate with other designers to bring bold, biodiverse visions to life.
Installation
At Biotecture, we provide a comprehensive living wall installation service, ensuring your green wall is expertly fitted. Our experienced team works closely with clients, architects and contractors to coordinate the installation process, whether it’s part of a new build or a retrofit project.
