    Project Details

    • Ecobuild Green Infrastructure display designed to show the future of UK construction
    • 48 hour build schedule
    • Biotecture in collaboration with other leading landscaping companies

Biotecture presented this stunning installation in collaboration with three other green wall companies as part of Natural England’s ‘Cityscape’ exhibition at Ecobuild 2010. The aim was to showcase the role that green walls can play in the future of Britain’s cities.

The green wall cube and additional soft landscaping was designed by Patrick Collins to highlight the importance of green infrastructure in the contemporary built environment. The cube structure also enclosed an internal presentation space, which Natural England used for their multi-media exhibitions and seminars during Ecobuild.

The whole structure had to be built and completed in 48 hours, with installation teams working through the night to be ready for Ecobuild’s opening day. Biotecture’s green wall was fully irrigated for the duration of the show.

Biotecture have exhibited at several trade shows and industry events. To see a selecation of project examples you can visit our portfolio.

We wanted to highlight the importance of sustainable green infrastructure in the built environment and promote the use and understanding of some of the latest environmental and living wall technologies. It is intended to be an iconic and thought provoking display, a celebration of sustainability, and a centre for debate.
